How do i get rid of dandruff permanently?

I have been having a bad case of dandruff for several months now , i mean bad as in a number of big chunks of scalp can be seen from my head and i really want it to go away Y__ Y , I have been trying to massage my scalp with baby oil , and i tried all kinds of selsun blue and it still does not work.. HELP thanks
