Why Do People Say "Nothing Rhymes With Orange?"?

In the complex English language that we speak, there are certain things called "near rhymes" and "perfect rhymes". Most of the time when someone says that "Nothing rhymes with orange" they mean that there are no perfect rhymes to orange. The one for orange above is a near rhyme. Still a rhyme, yes, but not a perfect rhyme that we English love. Purple and silver are both near rhymes as well. Most everything has a near rhyme, but not everything has a perfect rhyme.
