Will purple shampoo fix my orange hair?

i was trying to dye my hair blonde and now it has a weird orange tint and i cant get rid of it ... my hair is not really that light yet its like a light brown very dark blonde color so would purple shampoo get rid of the orange if not what else could i do to get rid of it fast and please give me any advice to help my hair color it is so messed up and im just so upset about it and my mom wont let me do any more dying she thinks it will fall out (ive dyed it like 6 times in the past month) ive been trying to fix it but it keeps getting worse and worse
